Product overview
A. Mitchell is a gothic horror supplement for the Advanced Fantasy ruleset (usable with Complete Edition or Free Edition). It transforms campaigns into realms of brooding dread with 4 new heritages (Dhampir, Flesh Golem, Hollow Man, Revenant), 2 new classes (Inquisitor, Resurrectionist), and 4 Dark Mastery talent trees (Ghoul, Lich, Lycanthrope, Vampire). The book features the Dark Domains subsystem, 4 multi-level Dread Stronghold dungeons, 20+ necromantic spells, unique Dark Artefacts, and a complete Grindhouse adventure.
Gothic Heritages, Classes, and Dark Mastery
The expansion introduces four macabre heritages—Dhampir, Flesh Golem, Hollow Man, and Revenant—alongside the Inquisitor and Resurrectionist classes. The Dark Mastery system lets characters embrace monstrous paths (Ghoul, Lich, Lycanthrope, Vampire with 4 distinct clans) using a specialized dark mastery die mechanic.
Dark Domains, Dread Strongholds, and Grindhouse Mode
GMs gain the Dark Domains subsystem with stress conditions and domain generators, plus four complete multi-level Dread Strongholds (Catacomb, Lycanthrope Den, Necropolis, Vampire Lair). The book includes expanded Grindhouse Mode support with level-0 origins and the standalone adventure 'Escape the Sepulchre of the Sanguinivore'.
Ideas for your table
- GMs can implement the Dark Domains subsystem to generate a cursed, mist-shrouded frontier barony for a multi-session horror arc.
- The multi-level Dread Stronghold dungeon layouts can be run as standalone mega-dungeons when players storm an ancient vampire lair.
