Terms of Use — The GM Craft Tavern

1) Who we are

This website and its tools (including Image Generator, Token Maker, and media editors for images, videos, and audio) are operated by The GM Craft Tavern (“we”, “Tavern”, “the Service”).

2) What the Service does

We provide locally hosted and cloud-based AI/media tools that allow you to generate, edit, and convert images, videos, and audio, as well as create scenarios, characters, and objects (collectively, the “Tools”).
Our Service includes the Image Generator and related creative utilities for producing fantasy and RPG-related media.

3) Eligibility & Account

The Service is for adults only (18+).
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms.
The Tavern also reserves the right to ban any user at any time who acts against these rules or the spirit of the community — without justification or prior notice.

4) Your responsibilities (key obligations)

4.1 Rights for uploaded content.
You must only upload content (images, videos, audio, text, prompts) that you have the rights or permissions to use, including copyrights, trademarks, and image/voice/personality rights.
Before using any third-party image (for editing, inspiration, or conversion), you must verify authorization with the rightsholders.
The Tavern assumes no responsibility for user rights; you are solely responsible for obtaining and respecting all necessary permissions.

4.2 Prohibited content & requests (AUP).
It is strictly prohibited to use the Service for:

  • Sexual or pornographic content of any kind.
  • Any depiction of minors or characters resembling minors in sexual, suggestive, or sensual contexts. Zero tolerance.
  • Explicit sexual acts, fetish content, or material intended to arouse.
  • Intellectual property infringement, including:
    • Reproducing specific copyrighted works,
    • Requests “in the style of [Identifiable Artist/Studio/Brand]”,
    • Logos, marks, or brands without authorization, counterfeiting, or watermark removal.
  • Deepfakes without consent; violations of image/voice/personality rights; impersonation.
  • Illegal, malicious, harassing, or hate content or activities.

4.3 Specific rule for “Image Generator” (images & videos).
This site offers creative tools exclusively dedicated to the world of role-playing games.
It is intended for Game Masters and creators who need to generate media for tabletop RPG campaigns and similar contexts.
Our goal is to help produce visuals, videos, and audio within RPG universes such as medieval fantasy, post-apocalyptic, science fiction, or cyberpunk.
The Tavern explicitly forbids use of its tools for non-RPG or unrelated purposes.
We reserve the right to ban any user attempting to use our tools for other genres, industries, or personal projects outside of role-playing contexts.

Sensual vs sexual content:

  • Sensual themes are permitted when presented in a narrative, artistic, or emotional context.
  • Artful nudity is permitted and defined as “exploring the human form without the intention to arouse.”
  • Sexual themes, pornographic or fetish content are strictly prohibited.
  • No minors or characters resembling minors may ever be depicted in a sensual or nude context.

Allowed: generic artistic and technical terms (e.g., “watercolor,” “medieval engraving,” “film noir,” “low-poly,” “oil painting”) that do not reference a specific artist, studio, or brand.

5) Moderation, blocking, and banning

We may automatically analyze prompts and files (artist/brand blocklists, nudity/minor detection, etc.), refuse processing, or delete content.
Severe or repeated violations — including minors, pornography, counterfeiting, or abuse of the platform — will result in a permanent ban without notice and possible reporting to relevant authorities.
The Tavern reserves the right to ban any user, at any time, without justification if their behavior or generated content contradicts our values or usage rules.

6) Privacy by default & Gallery

Your uploads and AI Outputs remain private by default and are not made public unless you explicitly choose to share them or opt in to a Gallery feature (if offered).
You may request future removal at any time.

7) Rights in your content & technical licenses

User Content: you retain all rights to your content, including commercial, resale, and usage rights.
You grant us a technical license (non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable/sublicensable) to host, process, and technically adapt your content solely to provide and secure the Service.
AI Outputs: you fully own the creations you generate, including all commercial and resale rights, as long as the generated content does not infringe any third-party rights (such as copyrighted material, trademarks, or identifiable real persons without consent).
Model training is disabled by default; we will not use your content for model training without your explicit consent.
The GM Craft Tavern does not claim ownership, control, or secondary rights over any user-generated content or creations.

8) Image/voice/personality rights & deepfakes

You must have written consent for any real person’s likeness, face, or voice included in your content.
Deepfakes without consent and any references to minors are strictly forbidden.

9) Availability, quotas & changes

The Service is provided “as is” and as available.
Usage limits may apply (formats, resolution, duration, quotas by role or subscription).
The Tavern may update, suspend, or remove features at any time for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.

10) Notices & takedowns

To report copyright, trademark, or image rights issues, email [email protected] with:

  • Your full name and contact details,
  • The job ID or URL,
  • A clear description of the issue and any supporting evidence.

We may quarantine, restrict, or delete the reported content and cooperate with authorities if necessary.

11) Data protection (GDPR)

See our Privacy Policy for details about data collection, processing, retention, and user rights.
We maintain technical logs (prompt metadata, timestamps, file hashes) for security, compliance, and abuse prevention, retained for a proportionate period.

12) Disclaimers

The Service and AI Outputs are provided “AS IS”, without any warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or availability).
We do not guarantee originality or absence of bias in AI results.

13) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The GM Craft Tavern (and its affiliates, staff, and partners) from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your content, your use of the Service, or any breach of these Terms.

14) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, technical, or security reasons.
Material changes will be announced in advance and take effect no sooner than 15 days after notification unless urgent (legal or security).
Continued use constitutes acceptance; we may require active re-acceptance upon login.

15) Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the Courts of Paris, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
